It all started with a glass of wine at their house, chatting about their upcoming wedding day. A great opportunity to get to know Donna & Valy, which made it feel like we have been friends for a long time when we showed up on the day. But with their warm and welcoming personalities it is so easy to feel close to them so quickly, and it makes it not difficult to understand why so many friends and family were there to celebrate their wedding!

We started the day in Mayfair where Donna was getting ready with her mum and bridesmaids, before hopping in quintessential London taxis to make our way to the church – the bride leading in a white London cabbie, the rest of us following in black ones. The church service was really special – apart from the stunning ornate inside of the church, there was also the choir and obviously the exchanging of vows. But what really stood out for me was the very powerful and personal acapella during the signing of the register – I honestly had goosebumps all over, and could not help but to get a little bit emotional.

After the service, the couple hooped back into their taxi, the guests in the red Routemaster buses, and we all made our way across town to the Hackney Town Hall for the reception. After enjoying a lovely meal, and some heartwarming speeches, it was time to cut the cake and open the dance floor for the party to continue into the wee hours of the morning! Donna, Valy – thanks for having me and Nick along on your special day and for trusting us to capture your memories. It has been nothing but a pleasure to get to know you both – I hope these photos do your memories of the day justice.
